Into the Mountains,
to the Waterfall

The horseback riding route consists of riding your own horse by the river and through the mountains of the Sierra Madre of Puerto Vallarta — an experience unlike anything else available on the coast.

All participants must descend from their horses to undertake a walk towards the mountain and towards the waterfall. We will cross hanging bridges and climb steps to reach the waterfall, offering spectacular views of the Sierra Madre along the way.

Upon reaching the waterfall there will be enough time to cool down in the water of the river. Once we reach the waterfall we head for a sloping hill, then go down — this section requires a light jog.

Upon arrival back at the ranch there will be a delicious meal: fajitas or chicken with rich guacamole and Mexican sauce prepared by yourself, handmade tortillas, beans and rice. This is the ride you will never forget.

💧 About the Waterfall: The waterfall at Rancho Capomo only carries water during the rainy season (approximately June to October). In the dry season, the jungle trail and river crossing are still beautiful — but the waterfall may have little or no water. Contact us if you have questions about current conditions.
